Shanlie Wolter cuts portraits live at museums, private parties, retail events, and historic reenactments throughout the Southeast United States.

Shanlie is a traditional free-hand silhouettist. She works in the 18th century  style, using only scissors and paper to render a likeness in just a few minutes with no drawing, tracing or digital alteration involved.

Shanlie has been fully vaccinated and will be taking additional precautions (such as mask-wearing and offering contactless payment options) during all of her upcoming events.

Shanlie was awarded Best in Category for Drawing and Graphics at the

2021 Troyfest Art & Craft Festival.


Since 2019, silhouettes cut by Shanlie Wolter have been featured in promotional materials for the F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald Museum in Montgomery, Alabama.
